Date: October 27, 2023
Location: St. Joseph's Church, Rice Lake
This year, we are excited to welcome Pat and Kenna Millea and Ashley Cermak of the Martin Center for Integration to help our teachers and catechists address the intersection of mental health and faith. Many of our children, teens, parents, teachers and catechists are plagued by anxiety, depression, and other issues. These burdens necessitate Christ’s compassion and our loving attention so that we may pass on the Catholic faith. Pat, Kenna, and Ashley will be guiding us in understanding this challenging reality and equipping us to address these struggles from the frontlines of our classrooms and churches.
The day begins with Mass followed by keynote presentations, exhibitors, and breaks for lunch and visiting the exhibits. The conference has been likened to “Homecoming” celebrations in that it brings many people together who may not see each other except at this event. The day is filled with smiles, hugs, and new and renewed friendships. It really helps build a sense of diocesan family.
