St. Patrick Catholic Church, Hudson WI
The annual Gathering for Life took place at St. Patrick's Church in Hudson on October 22nd. The event opened with Mass, said by Bishop Powers, including a homily touching on the full meaning of "pro-life". Next, Chris Hurtubise and Dee Bergeson delivered a powerful testimony on adoption. The audience journeyed with them into both sides of an incredible adoption story, highlighting how prevalent God's hand was, and still is, throughout the entire process. In the afternoon, representatives from the Catholic Charities of La Crosse Adoption Agency gave a presentation focused on the adoption process: different types, how families work with an agency, some heart-warming adoption success stories, plus much more. Fr. Mullen then gave a brief overview of his Adoption Initiative. The day culminated in a peaceful time of Adoration and confession, during which a Rosary was prayed using the pro-life prayer intentions for each decade (find HERE).
