FAITHFUL CITIZENSHIP RELIGIOUS LIBERTY |
Notice that in the banner above, the Diocese of Superior Coat of Arms' shield is positioned at the edge of Christ's hands. It is the risen Christ who gives Very Rev. James Powers, Diocesan Administrator, the priests and people of the diocese their strength to confront the issues of our times. Jesus holds us up and gives us support so that we can take action by getting involved.
"Christ has no body but yours,
no hands, feet on earth but yours,"
St. Teresa of Avila wrote centuries ago.
Those words are still true today. The Catholic Church provides the compassion of Christ in countless ways in the United States, including through health care institutions, schools and universities, charities and social service agencies and the work of individuals, parish communities and diocesan entities.
