The Director of Ecclesial Ministries and Diocesan Consultation, Chris Newkirk, is once again
pleased to be providing three new opportunities for Pastors, Parish Life Coordinators/Parish Directors, Deacons, Religious Sisters, Parish Catechetical Leader (Principals, Teachers, DREs, CREs, Youth Ministers) – and Parish Leadership Teams (to include any and all parish leaders) to learn and grow together in 2019. These offerings are in response to numerous requests for opportunities for more extensive training and leadership development. All individual leaders are welcome to attend, however it is hoped that you will take advantage of these opportunities by attending as an entire parish leadership team.

“Prepare Ye the Way”
November 3-9, 2019 is National Vocations Awareness Week. Fr. David Neuschwander, Parochial Administrator of St. Joseph Parish in Hayward, and a member of our diocesan vocations team, will provide participants with tools and ideas for celebrating National Vocations Awareness Week and exploring ways to create a local parish/cluster environment that is fertile in fostering vocations.

Our Churches are central and sacred spaces of formation in our faith lives. At the same time, we are sent forth from these sacred communities to “go make disciples.” Dc. John Grek, Director of Diaconal life, will help participants explore the aspects of parish identity that make us strong and vibrant beyond the physical space of our Churches.
